Screen Printing Summer School in Siena...
Our first Siena Summer School was held in 2019 and welcomed students and printmakers of all abilities. It was a wonderful experience, with participants from Creative Arts at UWE (where I taught for many years) alongside local printmakers. After a pause due to Covid, we were delighted to return in 2023, 2024 and 2025 enjoying inspiring printmaking weeks together in the beautiful city of Siena.
2026 Studio Giuggiolo is once again ready to welcome a small group of students for an unforgettable week of screen printing and cultural discovery.
The studio is located near the San Marco gate, just a twenty-minute walk from Siena’s famous Il Campo. Accommodation is conveniently close, with twin/double bedrooms, a communal area, and self-catering facilities. During the week, you’ll experience not only the creative process but also daily life in Italy—shopping at the lively Wednesday morning market, exploring Siena’s gothic architecture, and meeting locals as we are members of the friendly Snail Contrada.
Our courses are open to students and home printmakers of all experience levels—from complete beginners to those wishing to develop their practice further. To ensure plenty of individual attention, places are limited to just six participants per week.
